One of the biggest temple musical .
concerts will be staged at the
temple premises.

About a 100 artists participate in the
performance. In panchavadyam -
a temple drum ensemble
(pancha = five, Vadyam =
instruments), the instruments used
are Timila Maddalam, Idakka,
lIathalam, and Kombu.
The temple is situated at Kalady, 25
kms north of Kochi, near Angamaly.

magnificient snake - boats
are known as Chundanvallam. The snake-boat is over 100
feet long with a raised prow, similar to the head
of a snake. There will be about 125 rowers who sing in
unison.
