| Vinayaka Chathurthi Festival on 23rd August 2009 Ganapathi Kovil, Pazhavangadi, Thiruvananthapuram. The temple situated at East Fort in the heart of the town. On that day evening 5 pm onwards performance of Panchavdyam, Pancharimelam, music concerts etc., Spectacular elephant procession with three elephants starts around 8 pm. Also cultural programmes. | Grand Panchavadyam Performance at Kalady around Kochi on !5th August One of the biggest temple musical . concerts will be staged at the temple premises. About a 100 artists participate in the performance. In panchavadyam - a temple drum ensemble (pancha = five, Vadyam = instruments), the instruments used are Timila Maddalam, Idakka, lIathalam, and Kombu.
